Fleet Ballistic Missiles (FBM) is one of Lockheed Martin's best-in-class Lines of Business, prioritizing partnership, integrity, and reliability. Within FBM, the Post Boost Controls group is a tight-knit community of engineers responsible for the design and production support of systems that control the missile after the boost phase. This group manages the development, manufacture, and oversight of Post Boost Control System (PBCS) hardware, which serves as a critical attitude control and propulsive subsystem.
We are seeking a dependable Project Engineer to join our Post Boost Controls group as a Control Account Manager (CAM) within a hardware Integrated Product Team (IPT). In this role, you will serve as the primary technical interface to FBM management, systems engineering, quality teams, and our Navy counterparts. You will lead a team of approximately 5 to 10 engineers, with opportunities to grow as the team expands.
As a valued member of our team, you will drive technical schedules and execution, lead high-profile proposal development, and contribute to new business trade studies. You will be responsible for ensuring the team meets cost and schedule baselines, providing Earned Value (EV) performance and Estimate at Completion (EAC) assessments. This position offers numerous opportunities to represent the IPT with our Navy partner and LM leadership, fostering career development through mentorship and professional growth.

Missile and/or aerospace related education or experience; Experience with FBM processes and products; Experience with aerospace manufacturing; Experience with propulsion hardware development; Experience with refractory metals; Experience as principal engineer delegate or project lead; Experience with resource estimation & management, component development estimation, project planning, and project management; Experience with Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) initial drafting and baselining; Experience managing DoD project with Earned Value Management (EVM) and other DoD requirements; Risk and opportunity experience with an understanding of continuous improvement concepts; Experience in proposal development including Basis of Estimate (BOE), Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM), and Statement of Work (SOW) generation; Experience in gas/fluid dynamics or energetics/propellants; Excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrated leadership and initiative.
