Amentum Technology Inc. (ATI) has been awarded a strategic five-year contract to serve as the Large Business Team Lead for enterprise-wide cybersecurity and Risk Management Framework (RMF) support in the Maryland area. This program is critical to protecting and supporting resources across the customer's enterprise, operating within the high-stakes environment of the Department of Defense and Intelligence Community.
The Senior Program Operations Manager (SPOM) serves as the day-to-day operational engine of the Program Management Office (PMO), reporting directly to the Program Manager. In this capacity, you will orchestrate cost, schedule, risk, performance, staffing, and deliverables across multiple Prime Technical Task Orders (TTOs). This is a leadership role where you will work shoulder-to-shoulder with senior customer counterparts to shape outcomes that drive mission success.
As the deputy operational authority, you will act as a trusted delegate for execution decisions, managing the PMO's business tempo through status meetings, reviews, and surge events. You will champion the ATI team culture, instilling consistent processes and tools while mentoring junior staff on career development and cross-training. The role demands a systems-thinker who can build repeatable processes and dashboards that scale, ensuring cost performance stays within funded ceilings and risks are proactively mitigated.
This position is performed on-site at ATI PMO facilities and customer locations in Columbia, MD, Hanover, and within a 50-mile radius of Fort Meade. The role requires working inside a Secure Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) and maintaining sustained focus across concurrent technical and management priorities. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, with flexible hours between 0600 and 1800 and core hours from 1000 to 1400. On-call availability is required to support PMO surge events and incident response.
Amentum fosters a culture of safety, quality, and compliance. As a federal contractor, we maintain a drug-free workplace and enforce rigorous safety and quality policies to ensure the highest standards of service for our government partners.
Qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or protected veteran status. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a drug screening process and verification of an active TS/SCI clearance with a Polygraph. Please note that as a federal contractor, this screening may include testing for marijuana and other federally controlled substances.
