The Agricultural Risk Policy Center (ARPC) at North Dakota State University is dedicated to advancing applied agricultural policy research. The Center's mission is to inform U.S. agricultural policy with data-driven insights that are relevant to stakeholders and decision-makers across the Midwest and beyond.
The Senior Program Leader for Strategic Partnerships and Policy Outreach serves as a dynamic leader at the intersection of academic research and practical policy application. This role exists to translate ARPC research into timely, accessible, and policy-relevant analysis that directly addresses the pressing agricultural risk management concerns facing producers and agribusiness.
In this position, you will work closely with the ARPC Leadership to shape the strategic direction of the Center's stakeholder engagement and communication agenda. You will act as a bridge between academic findings and external needs, identifying emerging policy priorities through direct interaction with commodity organizations, producer groups, and industry leaders. Your work will ensure that ARPC's output provides practical, actionable guidance for external audiences, effectively expanding the Center's visibility and influence.
The day-to-day involves leading efforts to produce policy briefs, stakeholder reports, and presentations while fostering a collaborative environment that encourages responsive research translation. You will mentor junior researchers in communicating technical data and collaborate with the Director to secure external funding, ensuring the long-term growth and sustainability of ARPC initiatives.
Applicants must submit a cover letter, professional resume, and a statement detailing stakeholder engagement experience. Additionally, please provide one example of a policy brief, industry report, presentation, or outreach product, along with the names and contact information for three professional references.
