The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) is dedicated to driving a safer transportation system for the state. We are an innovative and collaborative team committed to managing the procurement of highly complex and technical commodities and services that keep Arizona moving.
The State of Arizona fosters a work culture built on flexibility, autonomy, and trust. Across our agencies, many employees participate in the Remote Work Program, allowing them to work from home, offices, or hoteling spaces. All work, including remote arrangements, is performed within Arizona unless an exception is properly authorized in advance.
As a Senior Procurement Specialist, you will manage the end-to-end procurement process for complex and technical areas. Your mission is to develop and issue solicitations, evaluate offers, negotiate terms, and award contracts in strict accordance with the Arizona Procurement Code. You may also be responsible for administering statewide contracts as delegated by the State Procurement Office.
In this role, you will navigate the full lifecycle of procurement, from conducting pre-solicitation meetings and negotiating best and final offers to administering resultant contracts and analyzing supplier performance. You will serve as a key resource for customers, providing timely assistance in developing solicitations and resolving supplier issues while maintaining a professional demeanor. Your work ensures that the department's needs are met efficiently within applicable statutes and rules.
This position offers the potential for remote work within Arizona, contingent upon business needs and the consistent meeting of performance measures. Remote work is a management option designed to improve work-life balance and productivity, though it is not an employee entitlement.
