As a Land Department Assistant for the winter season, you will serve as a resident host for the AMC, playing a vital role in the operational management and maintenance of our winter landscape. You will coordinate with the Land and Recreation Manager and support staff to ensure the quality, safety, and efficiency of bridges, trails, signs, and access points, ultimately delivering a favorable guest experience.
Your day-to-day life will be dynamic and outdoors-focused. You will be responsible for maintaining and grooming winter ski trails, managing trail signage, and performing winter road maintenance such as plowing and sanding. Beyond infrastructure, you will act as a friendly and attentive professional guest service provider, offering information about the AMC, local natural and cultural history, and outdoor recreation opportunities. You may also assist with the safe transportation of guests and cargo to and from facilities, support trail construction, and perform snowmobile and equipment maintenance. This role requires a commitment to energy conservation and environmentally sound practices in daily operations.
