The Senior Patient Account Representative serves as a critical link within the Revenue Integrity department, specifically focusing on the Follow Up and Denials functions. This role is designed for candidates with specialized experience in navigating complex billing cycles, resolving denials, and ensuring the financial health of patient accounts. You will operate under general supervision, participating in the full spectrum of accounts receivable activities, from initial charge entry to final credit balance resolution.
In this position, you will manage the reconciliation of daily IDX system receivables reports and balance monthly transactions, providing essential summaries to faculty and department administration. The role requires a high degree of attention to detail as you review admitting records, verify insurance coverage, and process both inpatient and outpatient documentation. You will act as a primary point of contact for patients and third-party carriers, resolving issues regarding statements, coverage, and non-payments while maintaining accurate records of all interactions.
This is a remote position open to candidates residing and working full-time in Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, or Texas. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility available. The role demands proficiency with IDX billing systems and Microsoft Office tools, alongside strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients, physicians, and insurance agencies.
