This position serves as a critical link between clinical teams and the pathology department, operating under the supervision of the Chief of Pathology and the Laboratory Administrative Director. The primary mission is to ensure the accurate preparation, handling, and documentation of human surgical specimens and autopsies, facilitating precise histological examination and diagnosis.
In this role, you will work directly alongside pathologists to manage the entire lifecycle of a specimen—from receipt and verification to gross description, dissection, and final processing. The position requires a high degree of technical judgment to handle complex procedures and may involve supervising and training Pathology Technical Assistants. You will be responsible for maintaining a safe, compliant, and efficient workflow in a fast-paced laboratory environment, ensuring that all specimens are logged, processed, and disposed of with strict adherence to safety protocols and departmental standards.
