Under the supervision of the Chief of Pathology and the Laboratory Administrative Director, this position serves as a vital support to pathologists in the receipt, preparation, and examination of surgical tissue specimens and autopsies. The role ensures that all specimens are appropriately logged, processed, and disposed of in a timely and safe manner. Success in this position requires the ability to exercise sound judgment in responding to a changing workload while maintaining a courteous and accurate approach to every task.
This role operates within a Labor/Management Partnership environment. The team collaborates closely with pathologists, clinicians, and coworkers to maintain high standards of laboratory operations. Strong interpersonal skills and a customer focus are essential for effectively supporting the department's mission and working alongside the pathology team.
