Senior Operations Associate

About the Role

Vaco by Highspring is seeking a Senior Operations Associate to serve as a critical operational partner for a leading Global Investment Manager. This role is designed to support the firm's trading and private credit investment activities, which include Commercial Real Estate (CRE) loans, direct lending facilities, and private equity investments.

In this position, you will own key components of the trade lifecycle, with a specialized focus on complex, bespoke, and private credit assets. Your primary mission is to ensure accurate trade capture, timely settlement, and effective coordination across internal and external stakeholders. You will act as the operational bridge between internal deal teams and external parties such as agents, servicers, custodians, and borrowers, ensuring that the full trade lifecycle—from inception to maturity—is managed with precision.

The day-to-day rhythm of this role involves deep engagement with loan agreements and participation documents to facilitate deal onboarding and security setup. You will independently validate financial data, including monthly interest accruals and loan balances, while monitoring daily cash positions to meet funding requirements. Beyond execution, you will contribute to the firm's growth by identifying process improvements, developing operational policies, and supporting the onboarding of new funds and trading relationships.

Location and Work Model

This is a hybrid role based in Midtown Manhattan, requiring an in-office presence three days per week. This setup fosters close collaboration with the investment and operations teams while maintaining flexibility.
