This position provides engineering, integration, and cybersecurity support to design, build, and test enhanced services for the Department of Navy's IT architecture. You will be part of a team offering a wide range of specialized roles, from cybersecurity experts to engineers focusing on systems, networks, software, and data center services.
In this role, you will coordinate across the enterprise to ensure network security devices are monitored and effectively generating alerts. You will identify security risks, determine the causes of violations, and suggest procedures to halt future incidents. Your work will involve performing deep network traffic analysis using raw packet data, net flow, IDS, IPS, and custom sensor outputs to secure communications networks.
Beyond technical monitoring, you will lead investigations, mentor junior analysts, and create detailed incident reports for both high-level and in-depth reviews. You will also be responsible for maintaining documentation for processes and procedures while developing training pipelines and brown bag sessions to facilitate team cross-training.
