As the Senior Mine Planning Engineer, you will report to the Chief Mine Engineer in a safety-sensitive position. This role is designed for a leader who thrives in cross-functional and multi-disciplinary teams to ensure mine plans are seamlessly integrated across the business. You will be the bridge between technical execution and strategic decision-making, overseeing ore control services and managing the daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly reporting of mine production.
Your day will involve preparing compliance reports, updating phase designs to meet medium- and long-term goals, and reconciling block models with actual grade and tonnage data. You will examine drill pattern designs, manage database information systems for haulage and exploration, and supervise junior engineers and surveyors. By distinguishing opportunities in mining sequence and design, you will directly aid in the recovery of gold and silver while ensuring pit walls and dumps comply with all design and regulatory permits.
