Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our FBM Reentry Mechanical team in King of Prussia, PA. In this role, you will work closely with engineers, manufacturing, and technical management to provide integration, design, and technical solutions. You will be responsible for payload structures, thermal products, and the integration of mechanical, propulsion, electrical, and RF components.
You will independently develop mechanical design solutions of varying complexity using solid models and detailed drawings, releasing engineering work products via Creo parametric software. A key part of your day involves reviewing requirements from various sources—including instrumentation, dynamics, stress, systems, thermal, and manufacturing—to ensure they are flowed into the design of assigned products. You will drive program achievements by releasing accurate, error-free, affordable, and producible engineering designs while collaborating with program leadership, analysts, peers, and configuration management to meet schedules.

Ability to collaborate effectively with adjacent disciplines (systems engineering, electronics, stress/thermal analysis, configuration management, production, test, quality). Knowledgeable at a systems level in the areas of stress, propulsion, materials. CPE (certified Principle Engineer) and MRB (Manufacturing Review Board) experience. Experience with flight hardware and ground support equipment design. Hands-on hardware experience. Additive manufacturing experience. Familiar with design for Manufacturability (DFM). Familiarity with Basis of Estimates (BOEs). Active secret clearance.
