As a Senior Mechanical Design Manager, you will report to the Director of Design & Technology and serve as a pivotal leader within our integrated EPC team. This role exists to maintain and coordinate our power plant design system, specifically managing the 3D software environment and the material databases that drive it. You will ensure that pipe codes, piping materials, and support types are constantly reviewed and updated as standards evolve.
In this position, you will allocate resources from the mechanical designer pool as project needs dictate, working collaboratively with our construction team and clients to execute quality-focused deliverables. Your ability to adapt and remain flexible will be invaluable as you coordinate multiple jobs, develop guidelines and procedures, and provide design oversight to our subsidiaries. You will lead and manage PowerFLX turn-key EPC projects in the Autodesk Plant 3D environment, creating and managing databases that feed our models, and planning baseline schedules in collaboration with Project Engineering Management. Beyond technical execution, you will foster high-performing teams, mentor designers, and drive continuous improvement in customer satisfaction and operating efficiencies.
We encourage you to apply if you are looking for a rewarding career and possess specialized knowledge and quality-oriented problem-solving skills. Successful candidates will need to satisfactorily complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check. US work authorization is a precondition of employment; the company will not consider candidates who require sponsorship for a work-authorized visa.
It is PROENERGY's policy to provide equal opportunity in employment to all its employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, pregnancy, age, disability, national origin, marital status, ancestry, medical condition, military status, or any other characteristic protected by State or Federal law.
