About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Marine Electrician to join a dynamic team in Newport News, Virginia, supporting the U.S. Navy and our Naval Ships. In this high-profile role, you will play a critical part in ensuring safe and successful work is performed aboard U.S. Naval Ships and military installations. Your work will directly support our mission to protect and serve our military by fabricating and assembling electromechanical and electronic assemblies, as well as providing cabling, equipment, and C5ISR system installations.
You will operate in a safe work environment, receiving initial instructions from supervisors or engineers while performing recurring work independently. Your day will involve conducting tests and experiments, troubleshooting malfunctions, and constructing components or adapting standard equipment. You will gather and maintain engineering data, perform computations, and operate standard test equipment. This role requires relying on your experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, often managing a crew of 6-10 people across various trades.
