About the Role
We are seeking an Experienced Engineering Technician to join a dynamic team supporting U.S. Naval Ships in Newport News, Virginia. You will work closely with the customer and fellow Serco team members to deliver quality work performed on-board U.S. Naval Ships in the beautiful surroundings of Newport News. Your mission is to support the Navy and the Military by providing cabling, equipment, and C5ISR system installations, ensuring successful and safe operations.
In this role, you will be part of an active team performing general manual labor to support this critical mission. You will troubleshoot and correct malfunctions, conduct various tests requiring subjective judgments, and perform electrical work on ships, boats, and marine equipment. The position involves gathering and maintaining engineering data, performing computations, and operating test equipment. You will also manage a crew of various trades and ensure strict adherence to safety programs and standard concepts within the field of electrical repair, fabrication, and installation.
