About the Role
As Cayuse's Senior Managing Director, Data Science and AI, you will serve as the organization's senior authority on data and AI strategy. This role is designed to establish data and AI as a strong, cross-cutting capability across all service lines. You will collaborate extensively to drive business development, provide client advisory services, lead workforce development initiatives, and shape the AI service line. Your work will be guided by Cayuse's Mission, Vision, and Core Values, ensuring that every initiative aligns with the company's commitment to serving government and commercial clients.
In this position, you will act as a strategic advisor to Business Unit Executives and senior leadership, helping to define the roadmap for data and AI capabilities, tooling decisions, and investment sequencing. You will also play a pivotal role in external representation, speaking at conferences and client events to position Cayuse as a trusted resource in data strategy, AI adoption, and responsible AI. From leading RFP responses to designing internal training programs, your day-to-day will involve bridging the gap between technical complexity and executive decision-making.

- check_circleReview and strengthen civil services and commercial RFP responses for data and AI relevance
- check_circleCreate reusable proposal frameworks, capability narratives, and case study content with the Proposal Center of Excellence
- check_circleServe in an advisory role to Business Unit Executives regarding data and AI capability roadmap development
- check_circleDesign and deliver internal AI training programs customized for each Cayuse service line
- check_circleCoordinate, develop and deliver AI literacy sessions for Umatilla Indian Reservation students

Requirements
- verifiedAdvanced degree in quantitative fields
- verified20+ years experience in data science, AI/ML, and technology strategy
- verifiedExperience designing large-scale AI training programs
- verifiedExperience leading RFP responses for government and commercial clients
- verifiedFamiliarity with federal AI policy and responsible AI frameworks
- verifiedPublic Trust, Secret, or Top-Secret Clearance appreciated
- verifiedMust pass background check
- verifiedProficient in Microsoft and Adobe toolsets
