As a Senior Manager in Materials Development for Footwear, you will be a key contributor to the footwear material development process. Your role ensures the end-to-end availability of innovative materials that support strategic marketing and design directions, enabling commercial success. You will manage a team of employees, lead continuous improvement of internal processes and new initiatives, and represent the Materials Development Team at the management level.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleLead, coach, and manage a team of direct reports to drive performance and engagement
- check_circleSteer the material selection process and drive material consolidation to improve efficiency
- check_circleIdentify suitable sources for new material developments according to sourcing strategy
- check_circleGuide Tier 2 suppliers to translate design vision into innovative materials meeting commercial needs
- check_circleInitiate and monitor seasonal material developments including price negotiations and proto sampling
- check_circleEnsure selected materials are tested and released in accordance with calendar timelines and quality standards
- check_circleProvide material risk management analysis and lead proactive decisions on material or supplier changes
- check_circleDrive continuous improvement of global material development processes and initiatives
- check_circleDevelop and execute regular reports on material usage across key material types and categories
- check_circleCreate and maintain material timelines ensuring alignment with product creation calendars
- check_circleEstablish and provide latest information on material trends to business units and categories
- check_circleCollaborate with cross-functional partners to develop tools and reports for fact-based material decisions
Requirements
- verifiedCollege/university degree in engineering (preferably chemical engineering) or related field
- verifiedAt least 8 years of relevant work experience in material development
- verifiedEnglish language proficiency required
