About the Opportunity
Vaco by Highspring is seeking a Senior / Lead Network Engineer for a direct-hire, 100% remote role. This position serves as a highly visible technical leadership opportunity within a global enterprise environment. The successful candidate will act as the lead engineer responsible for the operational stability, security, and modernization of complex network infrastructure.
About the Role
This role balances deep hands-on engineering with strategic leadership. You will own the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise networking technologies, including Cisco, Meraki, Fortinet, Arista, and cloud networking solutions. A key component of the position involves mentoring a small offshore team and driving the technical roadmap in partnership with Infrastructure leadership.
You will spend approximately 70–80% of your time on hands-on enterprise network engineering (LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, Wi-Fi, security) and 20–30% on leadership, strategy, and project ownership. The role requires the ability to balance strategic planning with execution, ensuring high availability and security across distributed environments.
