About the Role
Bowhead is seeking a Customer Technical Support Specialist (Help Desk) to serve as a key member of the IT Support Team in Dahlgren, VA. This role is dedicated to providing comprehensive customer support and technical assistance to Corporate Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (RDT&E) Network users. As a vital link between the IT infrastructure and our designated customers, you will ensure seamless connectivity across multiple complex environments, including uRDTE, cRDTE, SDREN, and NMCI.
In this position, you will be the guardian of network integrity, responsible for enforcing security compliance and ensuring reliable access for all users. The role blends on-site presence with remote support capabilities, requiring you to manage accounts, networks, and security protocols with precision. You will work directly with users to resolve connectivity issues, manage Active Directory domains, and maintain the physical and digital security of the network environment.
Hiring Process
Candidates selected for this opportunity will be required to obtain a Secret level security clearance. US Citizenship is a mandatory requirement for this contract. The selection process will prioritize candidates who demonstrate the ability to convey complex technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences within a Department of Defense environment.

- check_circleAssign and maintain IP addresses in the IPA Database and validate MAC addresses
- check_circleControl security groups and file shares across uRDTE, cRDTE, and SDREN environments
- check_circleMonitor Cisco ISE and Splunk dashboards for device profiling and compliance policies
- check_circleOversee the secure lifecycle of physical access tokens including ordering and revoking
- check_circleDevelop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures for user assistance
- check_circleProvide on-site and remote desktop support for RDT&E connectivity
- check_circleManage Active Directory domain accounts including creation, updates, and disabling
- check_circleUtilize ServiceNow to track trouble calls, route incidents, and fulfill service requests
