Key Responsibilities
- check_circleDesign, develop, test, deploy, and support AI software components including foundation model training and LLM inference
- check_circlePartner with cross-functional teams to deliver AI-powered products that enhance customer and associate experiences
- check_circleInvent and introduce state-of-the-art LLM optimization techniques to improve scalability, cost, latency, and throughput
- check_circleLeverage Open Source and SaaS AI technologies such as AWS, Huggingface, VectorDBs, and PyTorch
- check_circleContribute to the technical vision and long-term roadmap of foundational AI systems
- check_circleApply novel AI research techniques to production systems to solve complex, undefined problems
- check_circleImplement AI governance, model evaluation, experimentation, and observability frameworks
Requirements
- verifiedBachelor's degree in CS, AI, EE, or related fields plus 6 years AI/ML experience
- verifiedMaster's degree in CS, AI, EE, or related fields plus 4 years AI/ML experience
- verified6+ years experience programming with Python, Go, Scala, or Java
- verified7 years experience deploying scalable AI solutions on cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- verifiedExperience developing AI/ML algorithms (LLM Inference, VectorDBs, Guardrails) using Python, C++, C#, Java, or Golang
- verifiedExperience optimizing training and inference software for hardware utilization, latency, throughput, and cost
- verifiedWork authorization sponsorship available
Nice to Have
7 years of experience deploying scalable and responsible AI solutions on cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, or equivalent private cloud). Experience designing, developing, integrating, delivering, and supporting complex AI systems. Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor an engineering team and influence cross-functional stakeholders. Experience developing AI and ML algorithms or technologies (e.g. LLM Inference, Similarity Search and VectorDBs, Guardrails, Memory) using Python, C++, C#, Java, or Golang. Experience developing and applying state-of-the-art techniques for optimizing training and inference software to improve hardware utilization, latency, throughput, and cost. Passion for staying abreast of the latest AI research and AI systems, and judiciously applying novel techniques in production. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex AI concepts to peers.
