About the Role
The Senior Laboratory Technician serves as a pivotal figure in our manufacturing operations, responsible for the day-to-day planning and coordination of production processes. This role exists to ensure that our serum products are manufactured on time and strictly adhere to both customer and in-house specifications. Beyond execution, the Senior Laboratory Technician is tasked with developing and optimizing methods for lab processes, requiring a solid understanding of the full range of products produced in the department.
In this position, you will work independently and as part of a collaborative team to drive efficiency. Your day will involve meeting with supervisors to review production plans, establish priorities, and manage manpower transitions between shifts. You will play a key role in R&D projects and bulk K2 Ascites production, ensuring that all manufacturing documents are reviewed for clarity and completeness. The role demands strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking to navigate the complexities of protein purification and downstream processing.
Work Environment & Travel
This position requires a hybrid work model involving locations in Santee, Mexico, and Ramona Ranch. You may be assigned to any Scantibodies location for periods of time and are expected to perform occasional domestic and international travel to customers and trade shows. The role involves the use of general laboratory equipment, including columns, UV spectrophotometers, centrifuges, HPLC systems, and filtration apparatus, as well as company vehicles for travel.
