About the Role
This is a 100% onsite, full-time contract position based in Tallahassee, FL. The Florida SHOTS initiative seeks a highly experienced Project Manager to coordinate and monitor the delivery of public project-oriented work efforts. In this critical role, you will manage the implementation of immunization provider electronic health records (EHR), oversee user training programs, and manage the outward-facing Florida SHOTS website. Your work ensures compliance with planning, tasks, and deadlines as designated by the Client, directly supporting the health and safety of Florida's population through robust immunization data systems.

Candidates must be prepared to pass a strict criminal history record check, including fingerprinting, conducted by the Department prior to commencing work. This security clearance is mandatory for all personnel entering the role.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleEstablish and implement processes to ensure public projects meet deadlines, budget requirements, and quality standards
- check_circleAssign tasks, track milestones, and manage resources for the outward-facing Florida SHOTS website
- check_circleOversee daily work efforts of the EHR and training teams to ensure successful delivery of training sessions
- check_circleMonitor and report project status weekly, identifying issues and facilitating communication between the team and support staff
- check_circleDevelop comprehensive monthly project plans detailing timelines, milestones, and resource allocations
- check_circleTrack key project metrics monthly, including milestone completion, resource utilization, and budget adherence
- check_circleLead monthly strategic planning meetings, weekly team meetings, and stakeholder alignment sessions
- check_circleConduct monthly quality reviews of deliverables and implement corrective actions
- check_circleOversee the maintenance of training guides, resource materials, and announcements
- check_circleCreate and field an annual web-based Florida SHOTS survey to build user analysis for process improvements
- check_circleAdhere to all Department data security and confidentiality procedures
- check_circleProvide training to Florida's immunization providers and requesting Immunization section personnel
Requirements
- verifiedMaster's or bachelor's degree in health care, business, or Information Technology
- verifiedMinimum of 10 years' experience managing complex projects
- verifiedPass strict criminal history record check including fingerprinting
- verifiedProficiency in MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- verifiedAbility and willingness to travel
Nice to Have
Master's degree; basic understanding of private physician immunization practices and EMR/EHR software.
