This position serves as a specialized contractor focused on maintaining structural consistency and data flow across a complex enterprise ecosystem. The primary mission is to design and build robust API integrations between Craft.io and Azure DevOps (ADO), effectively bridging a three-system model where data currently struggles to flow seamlessly.
The role is strictly scoped to extending and stabilizing existing systems rather than converting platforms. You will be responsible for supporting a tight budget environment with clear limitations, meaning the focus is on pragmatic, high-impact solutions. Following the initial API integration work, the role expands to include building JavaScript functions to support additional workflows and automation needs, such as project migration, cleanup efforts, and AD group automations.
Success in this role requires a seasoned API developer who can not only write code but clearly articulate technical work to stakeholders. Strong documentation skills are critical, as the Enterprise Architecture team enforces specific documentation standards during deployment. You will work across multiple enterprise systems, making thorough, clear documentation essential for the team's long-term success.
This is a remote contract position with a duration of 06+ months. Please note that there is no expectation of conversion to full-time employment; conversion is highly unlikely. The hiring manager has been transparent about budget constraints, so the ideal candidate is someone who can deliver high-quality results within these parameters.
The primary development system is Azure DevOps (ADO). While experience with Craft.io is a requirement for the integration work, familiarity with TargetProcess is preferred but not mandatory, as it is a niche tool that is difficult to find. The technical stack must align with the existing environment, with Node.js being a strict requirement. Candidates must possess strong fundamentals in code writing and deployment processes, as there is no ability to train on these basics. However, there is some flexibility to upskill on PMO tools and hierarchy concepts.
