The Senior Installation Superintendent – Electronic Security serves as the critical field anchor for our technology projects, acting as the primary point of contact for multiple disciplines throughout the project lifecycle. This position is designed for a high-level technician who can operate independently on client job sites, managing complex system designs while mentoring junior technicians and setting the standard for quality and safety.
In this role, you will be the key field supervisor responsible for coordinating the actual work performed within our clients' buildings. You will interpret drawing packages to establish the foundation for finished systems, overseeing everything from rack and enclosure build-outs to panel terminations, device installation, and troubleshooting. As the sole senior field supervisor in many situations, you will exercise significant decision-making authority, managing schedules, delegating work to technicians and subcontractors, and ensuring all projects adhere to DIV28 specifications for quality control.
The position requires a unique blend of technical expertise and diplomatic communication skills. You will serve as the escalation point for installation issues, maintaining constant communication with Project Managers, Design Engineers, and Regional Supervisors to resolve labor problems, technical challenges, and site readiness issues. Your ability to prioritize time across multiple sites and manage inventory effectively is essential to keeping projects within scope and on schedule.
This position is based in Cedar Rapids, IA. Candidates must reside in or be willing to relocate to this area. Relocation assistance is available for the right candidate.
We are looking for individuals who demonstrate a commitment to safety, technical excellence, and team collaboration. The selection process focuses on verifying your experience with electronic security systems, your ability to manage complex field operations, and your fit within our positive, knowledge-sharing team environment.
We are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace. We consider qualified applicants regardless of background, race, religion, gender, or other protected characteristics. A clean criminal record and the ability to hold necessary security clearances are required for this role.
