Quad is seeking a high-level Industrial Electrician and Controls Specialist to support and modernize our web offset press and bindery platforms across North America and Latin America. This is a hands-on, expert position designed for a professional who can troubleshoot complex systems at depth, execute critical control retrofits, and ensure peak uptime in demanding production environments.
In this role, you will serve as a technical anchor for multiple sites, providing remote diagnostics and real-time support while leading major modernization projects. You will work directly with legacy DC drive systems and transition them into state-of-the-art modern controls, ensuring that some of the most advanced print platforms in the industry continue to operate at maximum efficiency. Your work will be directly tied to production uptime, driving reliability and performance improvements across our global footprint.
This position requires significant travel, approximately 30–40% within the U.S. and Latin America. You will be expected to travel to Quad sites to support installs, startups, and continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring consistent standards and rapid resolution of technical challenges across different regions.
Quad is actively investing in modernization and technology, offering a high-impact environment where your expertise directly influences the success of critical manufacturing operations. You will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge print platforms and engage with a diverse range of major OEM technologies, including GOSS, manroland, Müller Martini, Cerutti, KBA, Contiweb, Megtec, Butler, and QuadTech.
Candidates with 15–20 years of industrial electrical experience in printing or similar continuous manufacturing environments are encouraged to apply. Proficiency in PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens) and experience with web handling, tension control, and finishing systems are essential. While strong communication skills and the ability to work across sites are required, some Spanish proficiency is highly desirable given the geographic scope of the role.
