This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Senior Human Factors Engineer to join our team onsite in a closed area program with the LCE team in Tewksbury, MA. In this role, you will serve as a technical authority, driving the integration of human performance, safety, and usability into system design decisions. You will lead the development of Human Factors Engineering programs, ensuring compliance with standards like MIL-STD-1472 and MIL-STD-882 across major subsystems. Your work will involve collaborating directly with customer representatives to refine system requirements and mentoring early career engineers in best practices. This position is critical for translating complex operational requirements into validated, human-centered design inputs that ensure the safety and effectiveness of our defense systems.
Please note that this position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued Secret security clearance. U.S. citizenship is mandatory, as only citizens are eligible for this clearance. The DCSA Consolidated Adjudication Services (DCSA CAS), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process.

Experience in defense, aerospace, or other safety-critical regulated environments. Experience applying MIL-STD-1472 and MIL-STD-882 concepts in program execution. Experience leading or contributing to usability testing, task analysis, workload assessment, or human performance modeling. Experience with user-centered design practices, including wireframing, prototyping, or HMI design collaboration. Experience with systems engineering lifecycle processes (e.g., requirements flow-down, verification & validation). Experience influencing cross-functional teams in design tradeoffs involving human performance, safety, and operational effectiveness. Experience coordinating across multiple IPTs and stakeholders.
