CGS is seeking a Senior Financial Investigator to join our team, providing legal support and investigative services to a large federal agency. This role is designed for candidates excited to contribute to government innovation and appreciate collaboration. You will work within a team that anticipates the needs of others to solve complex challenges.
In this position, you will serve as a critical link in advancing prosecutorial objectives. Your day-to-day involves planning and conducting complex investigations, analyzing quantitative and qualitative facts, and developing evidence to support litigation. You will collaborate with assigned Paralegals, Legal Assistants, and supervisory attorneys to determine applicable statutory and regulatory law. The role requires you to devise methods for obtaining, preserving, and presenting evidence effectively, often utilizing electronic databases to identify assets and documents. You will also be responsible for preparing interim and final reports, compiling evidence for motions and trials, and testifying in court as required.
We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses. These tools assist our recruitment team but do not replace human judgment; final hiring decisions are ultimately made by humans. Experience in law enforcement. Experience in analyzing, organizing, and presenting a large volume of data using common software programs. Experience in reviewing and understanding financial records.
