About the Role
The Senior Financial Analyst serves as an expert-level partner in managing wholesale billing, cost recovery, and grant administration. Operating with minimal supervision, this position is critical for maintaining financial integrity across complex programs. The role demands advanced accounting judgment and the ability to navigate project-oriented environments independently.
In this capacity, you will manage the full lifecycle of grant activities, from identifying eligible disbursements to preparing reimbursement packages for agencies such as the EPA, FEMA, and DC HSEMA. You will also handle the financial backbone of the organization by executing operating and capital billing, conducting complex account reconciliations, and performing direct and indirect cost analyses. Beyond daily operations, you will act as a key resource during internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and organizational objectives.
Work Environment
This position operates on a hybrid schedule, requiring three days onsite and two days remote. The role is based in a general office environment where collaboration and independent focus are equally valued.
