About the Team
Fortune Brands is seeking a Senior Auditor to join our Internal Audit team. This role is pivotal in assessing risks and processes across financial, operational, and IT domains. The team operates with a commitment to the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) Standards, ensuring objectivity, due professional care, and high-quality workpapers in daily operations.
About the Role
As a Senior Auditor, you will independently formulate and complete audit procedures to test controls and construct logical business rationales for solving complex problems involving people, processes, or technology. You will assist with project planning, scoping, and workpaper review activities while participating in a wide range of audits.
Your day-to-day involves executing fieldwork, performing control and substantive testing, and analyzing evidence to maintain professional standards. You will independently conduct discussions with stakeholders to present findings, identify root causes, and draft practical recommendations. Additionally, you will support Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 (SOX) and Internal Control over Financial Reporting (ICFR) activities, including walkthroughs, control testing, and coordinating with external auditors.
This position is based in Deerfield, IL, with a hybrid work model offering flexibility to work from home on Mondays and Fridays. The role requires travel up to 25%, primarily within North America, with some international travel as needed.
