Howmet Aerospace's Hampton, VA, IN facility is seeking a Senior Environmental Engineer to join our Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) team. This position serves as a key member of the location's EHS group, operating within an environment defined by our company's EHS values and leadership's commitment to delivering results.
In this role, you will drive environmental stewardship by developing and executing management systems that ensure compliance with all Howmet and governmental regulations. You will lead cross-functional teams to implement environmental improvement projects, supporting the rapid growth of the aerospace industry. Your work will directly influence corporate and business-unit sustainability goals by evaluating processes to optimize, minimize, or eliminate waste and reduce water usage.
You will manage all environmental issues, regulatory reports, and permits across disciplines including Air, Wastewater, Storm Water, Chemical, and Waste Disposal/Recycling. This includes leading contractor management of the wastewater treatment and discharge program, interfacing with regulatory agencies, and maintaining timely and accurate filing of necessary records. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing and delivering EHS compliance training and managing hands-on monitoring and measurement activities.
