About the Role

Howmet Aerospace's Hampton, VA, IN facility is seeking a Senior Environmental Engineer to join our Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) team. This position serves as a key member of the location's EHS leadership, offering an excellent environment to work and deliver results driven by our company's EHS values and leadership commitment.

In this role, you will manage and direct plant personnel to achieve EHS goals in a timely and safe manner. You will drive environmental stewardship by developing and executing management systems that ensure compliance with all Howmet and governmental regulations. As the aerospace industry experiences rapid growth, you will lead cross-functional teams to implement environmental improvement projects, evaluating processes to optimize waste reduction and water usage while developing best practices.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include managing all environmental issues, regulatory reports, and permits across air, wastewater, storm water, chemical, and waste disposal/recycling disciplines. You will interface with regulatory agencies, lead contractor management for wastewater treatment programs, and develop EHS compliance training to foster a culture aligned with Howmet's continuous improvement objectives.

Requirements
