Howmet Aerospace's Hampton, VA, IN facility is seeking a Senior Environmental Engineer to join our Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) team. This position serves as a key member of the location's EHS group, operating within a culture defined by our company's EHS values and leadership's strong commitment to safety and results.
In this role, you will drive environmental stewardship by developing and executing management systems that ensure compliance with all Howmet and governmental regulations. You will manage critical environmental issues, including air, wastewater, storm water, chemical handling, and waste disposal/recycling, while leading permit reviews and interfacing with regulatory agencies. As the aerospace industry experiences rapid growth, you will lead cross-functional teams to implement environmental improvement projects, optimizing processes to minimize waste and reduce water usage in support of corporate sustainability goals.
