The Boeing Company Integrated Advanced Systems (IAS) team in Phantom Works is dedicated to transforming technologies—both existing and new—into innovative products for our customers. Located in Berkeley, Missouri, this team works on a variety of activities related to advanced mission systems, partnering with both internal and external stakeholders.
As a Senior Electronic Design Engineer, you will join a diverse team working on the development of a Software Defined Radio (SDR). In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead embedded software development, implement Big Iron open architecture standards, and test products as they move through their development lifecycle.
Your work will involve evaluating the effectiveness of various mission system technologies installed on different platforms to assist with technology development and Electronic Warfare (EW) system evaluations. You will also contribute to writing proposals for new business. This position requires a willingness to learn from a team of domain experts and to interact with engineers across multiple disciplines beyond electrical engineering.
You will apply your general knowledge of electronic and electrical systems, including operating principles, design variables, performance, and key interfaces, to develop and validate requirements for complex communication, sensor, and electromagnetic systems. The role involves performing trade studies, modeling, and simulation to optimize designs, as well as managing supplier and partner performance to ensure compliance.
