In this role, you will provide development support, conceptual design, and owner's engineer services to clients. You will perform technical evaluations of electric power generation projects and facilities, while also supporting project economic and cost analysis, risk assessments, and contract development. The position involves engineering design reviews, technical due diligence, and conceptual design, with a particular focus on the electrical design of thermal power projects.
You will have the opportunity to travel within the United States as well as internationally. This position is based on a hybrid work schedule and will require in-office work 3 days per week.
We expect people in this role to be willing and able to lead others who use modern tools. You will be expected to lead teams in taking engineering problems from issue to solution by setting expectations for using data and modern tools such as automation and AI to improve workflows, reduce rework, and deliver cost-effective designs. Leaders in these roles often direct automation and process-improvement work, such as how teams automate calculations, summarize technical documents, or generate design documentation, while guiding when and how AI or agentic AI tools are used to ensure results are checked. Overseeing engineers who program or script to automate engineering tasks is valued, as is a commitment to additional learning in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or Software Engineering to enable effective oversight of automation-enabled workflows.

General understanding of process design at electric power generation facilities. Experience in economic, cost analysis, and contract development. Familiarity with international design codes and standards. Experience leading others in using modern tools such as automation and AI to improve workflows. Experience overseeing engineers who program or script (e.g., Python, MATLAB, advanced Excel) to automate engineering tasks. Additional learning such as a minor, certificate, or experience in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, or related fields.
