NGEN is the largest IT services program for the Navy. Leidos is seeking a Senior-level Desktop Support Technician to join the Field Services Premier Support team at a government site in Virginia Beach, VA. As a key member of the team, you will manage high-impact system administrative duties requiring PowerShell and Windows Server expertise while providing direct desk-side support to customers.
Your day will involve managing share drives, public folder permissions, and Exchange accounts, alongside performing logical moves and user account management. You will troubleshoot and resolve complex user computer issues, assist junior technicians, and manage customer tickets according to established Service Level Requirements. A significant portion of your role involves working directly with VIP and executive-level customers to provide premier computer support, as well as collaborating with other teams to resolve issues related to MFD/printers, VoIP, and Video Teleconference systems.
This role requires physical agility and adaptability. You will be responsible for lifting and carrying equipment, working in confined spaces like raised floors or communications closets, and utilizing basic hand tools for rack mounting. You may also need to drive to different locations to troubleshoot issues on projects.
