About the Role

We are recruiting Senior Design Engineers to support the Plutonium Facilities Engineering Rapid Response Team. This role is designed to support projects at and around Technical Area 55 (TA-55) in Los Alamos, NM.

In this position, you will apply broad and diversified knowledge of engineering principles to prepare complex engineering analyses and perform conventional design and analysis. You will be responsible for assigned activities within your engineering discipline to support facility design, operation, and maintenance. The role involves providing construction and project support, potentially leading projects, and supervising the work of others. Success in this role requires the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team, utilizing advanced engineering technology to accomplish critical objectives.

Hiring Process and Requirements

Due to the nature of government contract and clearance requirements, US citizenship is mandatory for this position. Candidates must be able to receive and hold a DOE Q clearance and participate in the Human Reliability Program (HRP). The position may be subject to DOE Order 426.2, which establishes entry-level requirements to ensure employees can successfully perform the job's responsibilities.
