GovCIO is seeking a Senior Cyber Security / DevOps Systems Engineer to engineer, automate, secure, and optimize full-stack enterprise solutions that support mission-critical operations. This position serves as a vital link between infrastructure engineering and cybersecurity, responsible for orchestrating containerized applications, developing robust CI/CD pipelines, and implementing Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions.
In this role, you will drive system modernization efforts through automated testing, software quality assurance, and proactive monitoring. You will correlate threat data from various sources to establish the identity and modus operandi of active hackers, providing the customer with assessments and reports that facilitate situational awareness. The role involves developing cyber threat profiles based on geographic regions or specific actors and may include providing computer forensic and intrusion support for high-technology investigations.
You will be responsible for integrating newly procured software and hardware into existing environments, assessing and advising on cybersecurity measures, and deploying security controls to protect systems and data. The position requires a deep understanding of networking principles and the ability to troubleshoot complex on-premises issues in air-gapped environments. This is an on-site opportunity located in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, where you will align your work with current industry standards and best practices to enhance the overall cybersecurity posture.

CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+) certification. Kubernetes certifications (KCNA, KCSA, CKA, CKAD, CKS). Experience automating STIG implementation and vulnerability remediation. Experience linking Splunk and Forward Networks into the deployment pipeline.
