About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Cost Manager and/or Quantity Surveyor to serve as the key day-to-day client interface for a large-scale data center construction program in Northwest Texas. This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful delivery of cost management services for a phased, multi-building data center campus, including ground-up facilities and supporting site and power infrastructure.

You will operate in a fast-paced construction environment, requiring strong cost control, coordination, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team. The position demands a candidate who is comfortable in a client-facing role and can effectively promote the purpose, values, and vision of Turner & Townsend. Success in this role involves balancing technical expertise with strong communication skills to drive fair contract outcomes and manage complex financial performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • check_circleDevelop cost plans and estimates during the design phase and deliver updates at key milestones
  • check_circleCoordinate cost information from subcontractors, suppliers, and design teams
  • check_circleLead negotiations on contractor and subcontractor pricing to drive fair contract outcomes
  • check_circleManage cost impacts including contingency tracking and commitment tracking logs
  • check_circleProvide commercial input into design optioneering and value engineering exercises
  • check_circleEnsure final accounts are negotiated and agreed upon in a timely manner
  • check_circleIdentify, coach, and mentor team members to support development and performance
  • check_circleManage financial performance utilizing internal systems for margin tracking and fee forecasting
  • check_circleReview and collaborate with design teams and general contractors to develop cost estimates

Requirements

  • verifiedBachelor's degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or related field
  • verifiedMinimum 5–7 years of experience in cost management or quantity surveying within construction
