The Senior Corporate Accountant plays a pivotal role in maintaining the integrity of Idaho Forest Group's financial records. This position is essential for safeguarding assets and ensuring regulatory compliance through the meticulous management of corporate and log procurement accounts. Working closely with the Assistant Controller, you will help implement internal controls and procedures that support the organization's financial health.
In this role, you will be the backbone of our accounting operations, independently preparing complex journal entries and reconciling sub-ledgers to general ledger balances. Your work involves analyzing revenue and expense variances to provide critical insights into business performance, while also assisting in the preparation of accurate corporate financial statements. Beyond daily transactions, you will contribute to process improvement projects that enhance efficiency across the accounting department and the wider organization.
This position operates within a dynamic environment where the ability to tolerate all weather elements, loud conditions, and airborne particles like sawdust is required. The role involves a mix of frequent clerical duties requiring repetitive hand use and occasional physical activities such as standing, walking, and climbing stairs. Strong vision and hearing are preferred to ensure awareness of surrounding machinery and mobile equipment.
