About the Role

As a Senior Construction Project Manager, you will serve as the primary accountable leader for assigned projects, guiding them from initial creation through to final completion. Your mission is to ensure every project is properly scoped, designed, and executed with a rigorous focus on strict scope, budget, and schedule control. You will operate with the goal of delivering the highest quality outcomes in the most cost-effective and efficient manner possible.

Reporting to the Senior Program Manager, you will take an active role in continually improving established operating procedures. This position requires you to manage a portfolio of projects valued at over $10M annually, overseeing the entire project lifecycle including design, development, execution, and closeout. You will be responsible for assembling integrated teams of internal and external resources, ensuring they work collaboratively to deliver against project goals.

In this role, you will act as a bridge between operational constraints and project goals, coordinating seamless communication with Partners, Clients, and management regarding status, schedule, financials, and guest impacts. You will also serve as a mentor, expected to guide early-career project managers and participants from the Professional Intern Program.

Key Responsibilities

  • check_circleManage overall project safety and ensure compliance with OSHA and corporate governance requirements
  • check_circleAssemble and lead internal and external project teams to deliver against project goals
  • check_circleCoordinate with clients and partners regarding project status, schedule, and financial impacts
  • check_circleManage project schedules by establishing critical path tasks and ensuring contractor man loading
  • check_circleSupport contract administration including scope of work, unit costing, and bid alternates
  • check_circleMentor early career project managers and intern participants
  • check_circleOversee project planning, execution, design, and closeout throughout the project lifecycle
  • check_circleManage the change order process and update project budgets based on cost trends

Requirements

  • verifiedSix years of project management/construction management in hospitality, commercial, and industrial construction
  • verifiedKnowledge of project management process and demonstrated ability to manage a portfolio of projects more than $10M annually
  • verifiedKnowledge of project accounting, estimating, scheduling, budgeting, document management, best value contracting, contract management and cost forecasting
  • verifiedKnowledge of construction materials, methods and techniques
  • verifiedFamiliarity with construction applicable codes (UBC, NEC & UFC)
  • verifiedAbility to prepare presentations for department management review
  • verifiedLeadership experience to manage and mentor an early career project manager
  • verifiedFour-year college degree (BA/BS) in project/construction management or related field and 6+ years of applicable hands-on project/construction experience OR 2 years of college and 8+ years of applicable hands-on project/construction experience
