About the Role
Under minimal supervision, the Senior Connector Design Engineer will lead the design and development of advanced RF and microwave components and assemblies for industry-leading product lines. This position serves a critical function in delivering innovative solutions for connectors, adapters, cable assemblies, antennas, and other RF/microwave products that meet stringent performance requirements across some of the world's most demanding markets and applications.
The scope of work spans extreme environments, ranging from deep submarine operations to interstellar space. The engineer will manage complex projects from concept through production, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate cross-functionally to support aggressive growth initiatives. Additionally, this role involves defining product specifications and standards that meet customer needs while partnering with suppliers to ensure design manufacturability and product quality throughout the development process.

Key Responsibilities

- check_circleCollaborate with manufacturing and suppliers to ensure design manufacturability and cost optimization

- check_circleMentor junior engineers and provide technical support to sales and application teams
- check_circleDefine and execute test plans for RF performance metrics like VSWR, insertion loss, and PIM
Requirements
- verifiedBS in Mechanical, Aerospace or Electrical Engineering
- verified7-10 years of design engineering experience
- verifiedFamiliarity with MIL-STDs, IEC, ASTM
- verifiedProficient in Solid Works, CST, PLM, MRP
- verifiedKnowledge of ISO 9001 and AS 9100
- verifiedExpertise with FMEA, FEA, DFM, DFT
Nice to Have
MS in Engineering. Familiarity with industry standards (MIL-STDs, IEC, ASTM etc). Technical leadership experience.
