The War Data Platform (WDP) is a key initiative within the U.S. Department of War's (DoW) AI-First strategy introduced in early 2026. The WDP focuses on operational warfighting data and aims to accelerate the deployment of artificial intelligence (AI) on the battlefield. This platform extends to Unclassified, Secret, and Top Secret environments, supporting collaboration between Combatant Commands, Joint Staff directorates, Senior Executive Service leaders, and operational analysts.

About the Role

This position is contingent upon contract award. As a Senior Configuration Manager, you will direct enterprise Configuration Management operations for WDP Core Integration. You will establish formal configuration control policies, auditable baselines, and technical governance structures across IL2, IL5, IL6, and JWICS environments. Your work ensures the integrity of Infrastructure-as-Code, Configuration-as-Code, hardened virtual machines, secured containers, and application services.

You will operate configuration systems to document component versions, software lineage, and infrastructure relationships. By executing configuration audits and discrepancy analyses, you will eliminate drift and validate baseline integrity. You will produce configuration readiness reports and deviation summaries to support deployment authorization, enclave accreditation, and cyber inspection cycles. Additionally, you will lead mentoring efforts to elevate configuration discipline, accelerate onboarding of junior personnel, and strengthen mission readiness.
