The Business Affairs Department at Droga5 takes a solution-oriented approach to mitigating risk in content production. Our primary role is to advise and support Production teams in all matters, including contracting with production vendors, content licensing and clearance, talent procurement, traffic, and managing production budgets. Our focus is to ensure the agency delivers quality, thought-provoking content that surpasses client marketing goals with minimal risk to the agency and the client.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleReview creative decks and scripts for potential legal issues including clearance and licensing
- check_circleReview production company bids and prepare formal production estimates for client approval
- check_circleConsult with Producers and Account Management on talent usage and draft talent agreements
- check_circleTrack production costs and take action on overages while managing production budgets
- check_circleConduct preliminary trademark searches and issue music rights agreements
- check_circleReview and approve vendor invoices and facilitate payments
- check_circleLicense stock footage and images for film, radio, print and interactive productions
- check_circleAssist producers in closing jobs for final billing and track all production records
- check_circleAssist the Production team during the bidding process to ensure compliance with financial policies
- check_circlePrepare vendor production agreements, negotiate revisions, and liaise with Legal as necessary
Requirements
- verified5+ years of related work experience in an agency or related business affairs/legal department
- verifiedBachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent training and/or experience
- verifiedExtensive knowledge and understanding of SAG Commercials Contract and other performance unions
- verifiedAdvanced knowledge of talent engagement both in the US and abroad
- verifiedUS work authorization without visa sponsorship

Advanced knowledge of talent engagement both in the US and abroad. Willingness to learn new skills, systems and information. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment while managing urgent deadlines. Exceptional analytical, organizational and communication skills (verbal, written and listening) and ability to interact with all departments within the agency. Ability to create efficiencies and process. Strong ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, and to mentor/instruct junior members of the team. Legal experience or degree ideal.
