We connect with people in the moments that matter, delivering trusted local news, passionate sports, and favorite music across 220+ radio stations, premium podcasts, live events, and digital experiences that reach more than 200 million listeners every month. Our mission is to create compelling content, foster deeply engaged audiences, and deliver outcomes that matter for advertisers.
The Audacy NY TWIN Traffic Center is seeking a dynamic and talented professional to serve as a Traffic Reporter for 1010 WINS, and occasionally for WFAN and WCBS-FM. This role is the backbone of real-time information for the New York Tri-state area, ensuring commuters have the most current data to navigate their day.
In this position, you will be the voice of the road, gathering, writing, and updating select traffic stories for broadcast on participating Audacy radio stations. Your work extends beyond the airwaves; you will manage traffic operations assets for Audacy's social media channels, ensuring seamless presentation of traffic information both on-air and online. You will be responsible for sourcing both traffic and transit information, preparing coverage for planned events, and reacting swiftly to unplanned real-time incidents that impact the region's ability to get around.
Your day will involve monitoring a variety of data assets, including 511 Traffic Information websites, public agency sources (Transcom, Port Authority, NYDOT), traffic camera imagery, police scanners, and station tip callers. You will craft and deliver live and taped reports, post and manage traffic updates on social media platforms like X (Twitter), and ensure compliance with sponsor read requirements by certifying on station logs.
