The Advana team is part of the Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office (CDAO). Advana serves as the enterprise-wide, multi-domain data, analytics, and artificial intelligence platform for the Department of Defense. It provides military and civilian decision-makers, analysts, and builders with unprecedented access to enterprise data, tools, and capabilities across all security domains.
About the Role
As a Senior BI Developer/Analyst, you will advance your career while directly impacting national security in cyber. This role exists to accelerate insight generation for Combatant Commands, Joint Staff elements, and senior leadership by designing and developing advanced business intelligence solutions. You will work across Unclassified, NIPR, Secret, SIPR, and Top Secret/JWICS environments to build analytic data models, semantic layers, and optimized query structures.
In this position, you will engineer dashboards with drill-down analytics, predictive components, and alerting pathways connected to tools like CloudWatch, Grafana, and Splunk. You will lead data quality analytics, performing source-to-target validation and anomaly triage. Your work will involve collaborating with data engineering, DevSecOps, cybersecurity, and governance teams to validate data integrity controls and encryption policies. You will also produce analytic specifications, conduct training to elevate enterprise analytic literacy, and deliver briefings that influence portfolio planning and strategic investment priorities.

Hiring Process and Application
To join our team, you must be a U.S. citizen and currently possess or be able to obtain a Top Secret/SCI clearance. This is a full-time, onsite role based in Falls Church, VA, with no travel required. The likely salary range for this position is $128,039 - $173,229, though final compensation is set based on experience, geographic location, and contractual requirements.
