We are seeking a Senior Chemist to join our team as an independent researcher with opportunities for novel avenues of study. You will lead tasks or projects that require a multi-disciplinary approach, working alongside physicists, engineers, analytical chemists, and biologists to tackle National Defense's most important problems.
In this role, you will propose and conduct research that contributes directly to our government sponsor's goals. You will use your skills in organic, analytical, and experimental chemistry to advance science toward the cutting edge of the field. You will have the autonomy to propose your own work and explore new technologies using the many resources available to you at APL. Success in this position requires the ability to connect with the broader scientific community through publication, patents, and presentations.

Experience with interdisciplinary collaboration, especially with engineers, physicists, or biochemists in other laboratories or institutions.
