This role sits at the center of Toyota Motor North America's Product planning team, specifically the Cross Carline (CCL) Advanced Technology Strategy team. The position focuses on software-defined vehicles and AI in the cockpit, serving as the bridge between customer insights, market trends, and technical realities.
You will turn these inputs into clear business cases and actionable product requirements that influence mid-term product direction and build toward long-term strategy. By connecting research, engineering, and business teams, you will help shape which technologies Toyota prioritizes and why. This role directly influences the future value, competitiveness, and customer experience of Toyota's next-generation vehicles.

Experience leading research programs, innovation initiatives, or technology roadmap projects. Familiarity with automotive electrical/electronic platforms and vehicle development processes. Exposure to AI-enabled in-cabin experiences, connected vehicle technologies, or software-centric product strategy. Experience evaluating competitive landscape, customer value, and technology investment tradeoffs. Advanced degree such as an MBA or similar graduate degree. Experience with research, benchmarking, or planning tools such as mTAB, JATO, Vehicle Planner+, PIN, or similar platforms. Background in the automotive industry, especially product planning or technology strategy. Experience preparing executive recommendations tied to business impact, pricing, or value creation.
