Our AutoDrive® autonomy kit is designed to transform logistics efficiency, enhance situational awareness, and save lives through transformable robots, automated vehicles, and localization devices.
Our commercial division, RR.AI, partners with trusted OEMs to deliver these autonomous solutions across the United States, Canada, Australia, Europe, and Saudi Arabia. We operate in a fast-paced startup environment where innovation is paramount, and a breadth of skills and interests are highly valued. Our team spans the U.S., with main offices in Clarksburg, MD, and San Antonio, TX.
As the Lead Network Systems Engineer, you will serve as a veteran tech lead with full lifecycle infrastructure and software-defined engineering expertise. Your mission is to build and manage an enterprise-scale network architecture that is software-defined, fungible, and codified wherever possible. You will be hands-on in creating a state-of-the-art hybrid cloud network that enables our products to operate autonomously across the globe.
In this role, you will help engineer the foundation of our network by building out SD-WAN and Defense in Depth (DDN) on-prem networking. This infrastructure will serve as the backbone for a SASE-based cloud-native architecture connecting AWS, Azure, VMware, and distributed edge compute. You will ensure dedicated VLANs are established for specialized sensors and vehicles, enabling secure, encrypted telemetry transmission both domestically and internationally. The goal is to provide fully automated, secure, and fungible infrastructure for container and VM deployments used by development and product teams worldwide.
This position requires US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance. Employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a thorough background screening and drug test.
Candidates must be willing to work on-site in Clarksburg, MD, with hybrid tele-work opportunities available after on-site training. Domestic and international travel may be required (approximately 10%).
