This position performs a wide range of financial functions to support WVU Medicine. You will conduct departmental analysis and reconciliations, manage billing and accounts receivable analysis, and maintain related contracts for department services. Additionally, you will perform various productivity analyses to drive efficiency.
You will develop strong relationships with department managers to coordinate and monitor financial controls over the organization's cost centers. Your work will ensure that internal control measures are followed while maximizing efficiency in daily accounting operations. You will lead month-end variance analysis, oversee general ledger reconciliations, and ensure accurate financial data is submitted according to predetermined deadlines.
Beyond technical accounting duties, you will oversee the work and development of assigned Accounting Department staff, delegate projects, and train new personnel. You will also support performance improvement and quality assurance initiatives, ensuring that specialty focus areas such as monthly financial statements, consolidated financial statements, bonds, and cash flow projections are completed accurately and timely.
