About the Role
The Senior Accountant within the Gross Margin team will have full ownership of the gross margin accounting, including revenue and cost of goods sold, as well as the integrity of the related balance sheet accounts for assigned subsidiary(s). As a senior team member, this position will set standards of excellence and continuously improve accounting processes.
You will influence, challenge, and communicate clearly with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality financial outputs and support Leaf Home's continued growth. This role is ideal for someone who takes initiative to question unusual trends and discrepancies rather than accepting information at face value, serving as a subject-matter expert for assigned financial areas.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circlePrepare balance sheet account reconciliations in a timely manner adhering to guidelines
- check_circleConduct monthly variance analysis of balance sheet and income statement accounts
- check_circleCollaborate with Financial Planning and Analysis team to investigate variances to the budget
- check_circleIdentify areas for process improvements and opportunities to leverage technology for efficiency
- check_circleProvide audit support and analysis for assigned subsidiary accounts
- check_circleMentor and provide supervisory support to Staff Accountants to ensure timely daily activities
- check_circlePrepare moderately complex journal entries in ERP systems while maintaining high documentation standards
- check_circleOwn accounting processes for assigned financial areas and maintain subject-matter expertise
Requirements
- verifiedUndergraduate (Bachelor's) degree
- verified3+ years of public accounting experience or 4+ years of general accounting or internal audit experience
- verifiedCPA designation
- verifiedProficiency using Microsoft Office Suite
- verifiedBasic understanding of U.S. GAAP
- verifiedMust be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without sponsorship
